If there was a place where we can live in peace, a place where we all love eachother and we all have the time to listen to one another, one of our greetest needs, that place would be called: Utopia. Welcome to UtopiaXO produced by Dave Hesketh. It's a wonderful story which will take you by surprise, it's crystal clear audio quality is stunning! It's 'live' feel is impressive. The samples and surround recordings really become one with the music. Beautiful music and subtle vocals. One of the best ambient/new age albums avalaible at this moment. UtopiaXO "The Light" - ambient music was born - This album started its life in the late summer of 2007. I was sat in the studio experimenting with a midi guitar. After playing for 20 minutes I noticed a feedback loop had started within the music - it was a beautiful, inspiring sound that meandered along - seemingly in control of itself. An hour later the whole structure for this album was mapped out through utilising this feedback technique. You can hear this original sound throughout the album. In fact, it's the first sound you'll hear on 'The Light'. I then, by chance, met Jacqueline Barr. She explained to me that our home and the studio (in our garden) sat on a sacred and special site. It was thought that the studio may lie right in the path of a powerful earth energy line - sometimes called lsquo;leylines'. I immediately knew that I had tapped into this energy that summer morning when I had sat down with the guitar. So earth ambient music was born. I very much believe sincere music taps into the life energy force more than any other art form. I hope and believe that this magical place has now found an expression in a small but sincere way through this music. I also hope this magical energy finds its way to you as you experience the energy of nature that will fill your room as you listen to UtopiaXO - Dave Hesketh. May, 2009. Fantastic new space music album by Gulan called "Space Projections". Prepare yourself for a world full of sounds, patterns, atmopherics and meditation. Gulan takes us on a tour we will not put in a box like 'file it under bla bla bla'. Gulan's music is unique: he combines many layers and sounds that will start to interfere, there's a dialogue between sounds, there's a cosmic process going on and the listener will be in the middle of this awesome experience. This sunday morning the City of Rotterdam was grey and misty... for a moment we thought we're gonna see Autumn Leaves here! Such moments we dive into the archives of our music collection. Today we found: Forma Tadre. It has been on our minds to play on the podcast for years now. Terra Ambient is Jeff Kowal. Jeff has been an active musician for over 15 years. Both formally trained and self-taught, Jeff's musical interests and influences span a wide spectrum of cultures. This crossover of electronic, ethnic, acoustic and experimental sounds has become the foundation of his work. In the middle of London, just before what would be the announcement of the Tube Strike. Arrival London last Sunday June7th late afternoon, walking to the hotel via Kings Cross. Hotel fine but room not ok, enormous continuous loud noise in the pipes of the bathroom made it impossible to get some sleep! Earlier that night kindly for another room, did not get it because the hotel was 'full'. Later that night changed our tone a bit and insisted on getting another room, and so another room was available all of sudden. Rest of the week, perfectly fine in this bigger and most of all - quiet - room without extra costs. Super!The WiFi sucked but luckily there was BTopenzone. Up the hill we arrived in Islington. Special place for special people; our meeting with David Leckenby @ the EnlightenNext headquarters. Started off with a 45 minutes meditation session which was very enjoyable and at the same time a rare and remarkable first meeting with someone we've only had contact with via e-mail untill that moment in time: David Leckenby. Known for his cinematic musical productions, know for his peaceful ambient style, known for his unique LIVE act called Kosmic Fire to inject the public with mind blowing uptempo electronica. Almost three months ago we played music by Schiller. The amount of feedback has been huge! Schiller has many fans all around the world. Packaged in a wood case: the limited edition of Saul Stokes 'Metacollage'. A true soundscape album, electronic and experimental trips combined with beautiful melodies, well balanced over the whole frequency line sort of speak. We love the music by Saul because it sounds so pure, it's simple and yet so very complex when one analyses the music minute by minute. A very talented artist who surprises us every time again with an outstanding production. The album is also for sale in MP3 format via most online stores out there. Excuse me.... it's May31st and sometimes we simply malfunction on what day it is.... Let's have a cup now: Remastered edition of the Planet Boelex album "Little World" is available! We got the message some time ago and just had to put on a show featuring this fantaaastic re-release. The difference between this one and the older version? One could say it's a difference between day and night but let us put it into the right perspective here: The vocals by Lisa's Antenna are sounding much warmer and more subtle than before. The overall mix is a much better balance between high and low frequencies, the compression from before especially in the high range has gone... "Are You There" is now like she's sitting next to you, "Fall" has turned into a warm blanket. Once you start playing the tracks you only want to pump up the volume and really dive into this Little World and stay. Mastering act by Christopher Leary.
